Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (coverage required for non-holiday days)

About Opportunity

JR Enterprise, in partnership with the VA Healthcare System, is seeking experienced General Dentists to provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care to Veterans diagnosed with ischemic heart disease through a mobile dental clinic.

This 1099 contractor role offers flexible scheduling, professional autonomy, and long-term stability while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the oral health of Veterans. You will work collaboratively with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and VA staff to deliver comprehensive care in rural and urban areas across Vermont.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Dental Services

· Conduct comprehensive dental exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning

· Provide restorative, preventive, oral surgery, endodontic, prosthodontic, periodontic, and emergency care

· Manage acute dental issues including infections or trauma

· Collaborate with VA dental and medical staff for care that cannot be delivered in the mobile clinic

Mobile Clinic Operations

· Safely operate, set up, and breakdown the mobile dental clinic at multiple locations

· Maintain all equipment, instruments, and inventory

· Ensure proper infection control, sterilization, and biohazard disposal

Supervision & Collaboration

· Supervise dental hygienists and dental assistants in accordance with state regulations

· Participate in quality assurance, process improvement, and pilot program reporting

· Communicate effectively with Veterans, staff, and stakeholders

Documentation & Compliance

· Record all care in VA electronic health/dental record systems

· Ensure compliance with VA policies, HIPAA, and regulatory standards

Qualifications Required:

· DMD or DDS from an ADA- or CODA-accredited program

· Current, full, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Vermont

· Minimum three (3) years of creditable experience as a full-time dentist; VA experience preferred

· Passed the National Board Dental Examinations (NBDE)

· CPR/BLS certification

· Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to operate a mobile dental clinic (commercial license not required)

Preferred:

· Experience delivering care in a rural or mobile clinic setting

· Prior VA or federal healthcare experience

· Strong EHR proficiency and documentation skills
