Radiation Therapist

Job Title: Radiation Therapist – VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System
Job Summary
JR Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to provide exceptional care to veterans at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments, ensuring patient safety, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary oncology team in a patient-focused clinical environment.

Location
Pittsburgh, PA (On-site – VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment (e.g., linear accelerators)
• Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient treatment records
• Ensure compliance with all VA policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Meet VA standards for patient wait times and timely completion of consults/orders
• Participate in quality assurance and safety initiatives

Qualifications
Required Certifications & Licensure

• Current ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy  
• Active and unrestricted state license (if applicable)
• Current BLS and/or ACLS certification

Experience & Skills

• Strong technical proficiency in radiation therapy procedures and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare setting

Credentialing Requirements

• Must meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements

Required Documents for Submission

• Updated Resume
• Active License
• Copy of ARRT Certification (Radiation Therapy)
• BLS/ACLS Certification
• DEA Registration (if applicable)
