About This Opportunity

JR Enterprise (JRE), in partnership with the VA Healthcare System, is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide high-quality onsite anesthesia services to Veterans at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, Texas.

This is a long-term, non-personal services contract offering schedule flexibility and the opportunity to work in a large, high-acuity, academically affiliated VA medical center. CRNAs will deliver comprehensive anesthesia care while collaborating with anesthesiologists and interdisciplinary clinical teams in support of Veteran health and surgical outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
  • Administer general, regional, MAC, IV, inhalational, local, and topical anesthesia
  • Provide continuous intraoperative monitoring and post-anesthesia care
  • Respond to emergency airway management and Code Blue events facility-wide
  • Deliver anesthesia services independently during nights, weekends, and holidays with anesthesiologist on-call
  • Maintain accurate, timely anesthesia documentation in the VA electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and ancillary staff
  • Support education and training of anesthesia students and medical trainees as assigned
  • Adhere to VA, Joint Commission, and patient safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AANA-accredited nurse anesthesia program
  • Active, full, and unrestricted RN and CRNA license (any U.S. state or territory)
  • National Board Certification (NBCRNA/CCNA)
  • Minimum two (2) years of CRNA experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to complete VA credentialing, privileging (VetPro), and mandatory training
  • Ability to meet physical and professional requirements of the role
