About This Opportunity
JR Enterprise (JRE), in partnership with the VA Healthcare System, is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeons to provide high-quality surgical care to Veterans at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. This is a contract role with long-term stability, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a structured, team-focused VA environment.
As a General Surgeon, you will perform surgeries, provide direct patient care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams, supporting Veterans’ physical health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general surgery procedures in clinic and OR settings
- Provide comprehensive perioperative patient care
- Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other clinical staff
- Participate in quality improvement and service meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Follow VA protocols for patient safety, infection control, and privacy
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state)
- ABS Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- BLS & ACLS certification
- Ability to complete VA credentialing and mandatory training
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
