About This Opportunity

JR Enterprise LLC (JRE), in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncology Physician to provide high-quality, evidence-based radiation oncology services to Veterans at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.

This long-term contract opportunity allows physicians to practice in a fully accredited VA Radiation Oncology program, delivering both curative and palliative cancer care using advanced radiation technologies. You’ll work within a mission-driven, collaborative clinical environment while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who served our nation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Radiation Oncology care for inpatient and outpatient Veterans
  • Perform consultations, evaluations, treatment planning, delivery, and follow-up care
  • Utilize advanced radiation modalities, including:
    • 2D/3D Conformal Radiation
    • IMRT / VMAT
    • IGRT
    • SRS / SRT / SBRT
  • Conduct CT simulations and oversee treatment planning using Eclipse and ARIA systems
  • Supervise and manage treatments on Varian Linear Accelerators (Edge or equivalent)
  • Perform weekly treatment management evaluations and monitor treatment response
  • Participate in tumor boards, chart rounds, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Communicate treatment plans and results with referring providers and patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the VA CPRS Electronic Health Record
  • Provide on-call Radiation Oncology coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Ensure compliance with ASTRO APeX, VA standards, and Joint Commission guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology (American Board of Radiology – ABR)
  • Active, full, and unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state or territory)
  • Minimum five (5) years post-residency experience in Radiation Oncology
  • Experience with Varian Linear Accelerators, Eclipse Treatment Planning, and ARIA systems
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • DEA registration (as required)
  • Ability to complete VA credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and technical skills

Schedule & Coverage Details

  • Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • On-Call Requirement:
    • Minimum of 8 weeknights and 1 weekend per month
    • Coverage for urgent consults and emergent radiation cases
    • Patients requiring immediate evaluation must be seen within 60 minutes
