About This Opportunity

JR Enterprise (JRE), in partnership with Job Corps, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care, health education, and wellness support to Job Corps students. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellness of young adults while working in a structured, student-focused environment.

As an RN, you will perform clinical care, manage medications, provide wellness education, and coordinate care with internal and external providers to ensure student health, safety, and overall well-being.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nursing assessments, triage, and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses
  • Provide first aid and emergency response until higher-level care is available
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by authorized providers
  • Support communicable disease prevention, screening, and response protocols
  • Provide health and wellness education on hygiene, nutrition, sexual health (policy-permitted), stress management, and substance awareness
  • Assist with care coordination, referrals, and follow-up with community providers
  • Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in compliance with HIPAA/FERPA standards
  • Collaborate with mental health, substance abuse, disability services, and residential staff to ensure integrated student support
  • Participate in center meetings, wellness planning, and staff training as required

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted RN license in the applicable state
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (preferred: community health, school nursing, occupational health, urgent care, or primary care)
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
  • Strong documentation, communication, and patient/student education skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with adolescents or young adults in school, residential, or community settings
  • Behavioral health support and crisis response experience
  • Knowledge of public health practices, immunizations, and disease prevention protocols
  • Bilingual skills (center-dependent)
