About This Opportunity
JR Enterprise (JRE), in partnership with the VA Healthcare System, is seeking Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to Veterans in Palo Alto and Santa Clara. This is a contract role with long-term stability and renewal options, giving you the chance to make a real difference while working in a structured, team-focused environment.
As a CNA, you will deliver safe, individualized care to patients with multiple complex needs, supporting their physical, emotional, rehabilitative, and spiritual wellbeing. You will work closely with nurses and other clinical staff under the supervision of the Charge RN.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with therapeutic, diagnostic, and treatment activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents, including light housekeeping tasks such as bed making, linen changes, and room tidying
• Assist residents with eating, drinking, and meal setup
• Perform basic nursing duties: taking vitals, recording measurements, and documenting care
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, oral care, hair care, feeding, and catheter hygiene
• Report observations, changes in condition, or incidents to the supervising nurse promptly
• Support medical personnel in the care of residents with diverse conditions/diagnoses
• Follow infection control, safety, and patient privacy protocols consistently

Required Qualifications

• Active CNA License in California
• AHA BLS or ACLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of CNA experience, preferably in hospital or long-term care settings
• Ability to pass a government background check
• Strong patient care, communication, and documentation skills
