JR Enterprise is hiring Dental Assistants on behalf of the Orlando VA Medical Center and its satellite clinics. As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in patient care — from chairside support and radiology to specialty procedures — while contributing to a mission that honors those who served our country.

• Earn $22.84/hour + $5.09/hour health & welfare (W2)
• 100% outpatient dental setting
• No nights, weekends, or call coverage
• Long-term VA contract (1 year base + 4 option years)

• Four assistants at Orlando VAMC, one each at Viera, Daytona Beach, and Lake Baldwin
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Start date: Anticipated assignment beginning August 2026
- Overtime not authorized
Patient Population & Care Setting
- Population: Adult and Geriatric Veterans
- Care Model: Team-based dental care
- Clinical Environment Includes: Outpatient dental clinics, preventive and restorative services, oral surgery support, patient education
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry
- Support specialty procedures (oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, implant placement/restorations)
- Take and process dental radiographs
- Provide chairside support for restorative and preventive care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records in VA EHR system
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Manage dental supplies and equipment inventory
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (ADA CODA)
- Active Dental Radiological Certificate
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience
- Current BLS certification
- Must not be listed on the HHS OIG Exclusion List
