Position Overview
JR Enterprise (JRE), in partnership with the VA Central California Health Care System, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time onsite opportunity serving our nation's Veterans in Fresno, California.
This contract opportunity allows a physician to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services within an established, highly rated VA cancer care program, offering structured schedule predictability and dedicated interdisciplinary support.

Compensation & Contract

• Compensation: $430/hour All-Inclusive, 1099
• Position: Full-time, Onsite
• Contract Term: Up to 2-year contract potential

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Provider Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No call
• No weekends
• No holiday coverage
• Closed on all Federal Holidays

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
• Active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory
• Current, active DEA registration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Active NPI number
• Eligible for VA credentialing and clinical privileges

License Requirements
All physicians assigned under this contract must possess a current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
Physicians with a history of a restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered, or denied medical license will not be considered for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Hematology/Oncology services, dedicating approximately 90% of time to direct patient care.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and complex hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Perform clinical consultations and manage patient care within the oncology and infusion clinic setting.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, specialists, and supportive care staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with VA health system policies.

The Fresno VA Medical Center serves Veterans throughout Central California and has earned a 5-Star CMS Overall Hospital Quality Rating.
Physicians join an established cancer care program supported by on-site oncology, hematology, infusion services, and multidisciplinary care teams.
